Closing Thoughts As we continue to navigate the evolving landscape of Generative AI, our role as educators is to lead with intention, curiosity, and care. By embracing the ISTE Standards and grounding our decisions in ethics and purpose, we ensure that technology becomes a bridge that widens opportunities for every child. At Ellerton Primary School, our aim is not to replace meaningful teaching with technology, but to use it to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and support every learner’s success. When leaders, teachers, families, and students work together, we create a learning community that is prepared not only for the challenges of today but also for the limitless possibilities of tomorrow.

The Implications of these ISTE Standards at My Institution Awareness of these ISTE Standards would positively shape how my institution, Ellerton Primary School, integrates Generative AI by ensuring technology is used intentionally, ethically, and aligned with clear learning goals. Understanding the Visionary Planner standard would help guide informed decision-making about which AI tools to adopt to kee p in alignment with our learning goals.  The Empowering Leader standard emphasizes proper teacher training so staff can use Generative AI confidently, effectively, and responsibly.
